101 THINGS I DID FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THE BOOTCAMP AT MAPPLINKS ACADEMY

Apart from live projects, hands-on training, working in teams, and in-depth digital marketing training, Mapplinks Academy allowed me to do some awesome things which no other academy could provide.

Here’s a list of 101 such activities and learnings I’ve compiled for the reference of future applicants!

  1. Learn to design graphics and creatives on your own – even if you’re not a designer! – Practice on tools to create stunning social media creatives and ad images for your campaigns. Without having to go through complex design tools.
  2. Enjoy a #InstaOuting day out – A day out of the academy building where you take amazing Instagram photos and learn the concepts of Instagram marketing, best practices and publishing!
  3. Create your own website – even if you’re not a coder! – Get your own website up and running. For your personal brand or your startup!
  4. Host a Twitter contest – Plan, create and promote a Twitter contest and drive engagement and following.
  5. Run a Facebook ad campaign – Create and launch different types of ad campaigns. Learn how to measure results and improve campaign performance in order to get maximum results within set budgets.
  6. Get more installs for mobile apps – Learn how to market mobile apps, run and manage campaigns and boost the number of installs for your mobile app.
  7. Host a contest on Facebook – Plan a creative contest on your Facebook page and get people to participate.
  8. Create your own blog – Get your blog live. It’s an amazing platform to promote your brand.
  9. A/B test email subject lines  – A/B can be pretty cool. Experiment by doing. Implement, see what works, repeat.
  10. Publish a blog post – It was a great feeling to publish my first blog post at the Academy.
  11. Run an Instagram ad campaign – Learn how to create, promote and analyse ads on Instagram.
  12. Publish your first post on Medium – Medium is an excellent, less-explored platform for startups and brands alike. You get to make your first Medium post live at Mapplinks.
  13. Learn how to brand your content effectively – Marketing, branding, and advertising goes hand in hand in the modules at the Academy. You learn the concepts, tips and tricks of all three areas.
  14. Write an article on LinkedIn publisher – LinkedIn provides publishing options to get your content more visibility and increase visibility on the platform. At the academy, you start publishing content on LinkedIn
  15. Create an infographic – Learn how to create an infographic, a great way of effective visualised content-sharing.
  16. Attend and Live tweet an event – You get to attend an event and live tweet it to increase engagement and following on Twitter.
  17. Participate in a Twitter chat- Learn how to engage, participate and exchange ideas via Twitter chats.
  18. Get your own domain- Learn how to procure and set up a domain for your personal brand or startup.
  19. Host your website – From getting your domain, to designing your website to making it live – Learn it all at the academy.
  20. Set up a WordPress blog – Learn how to get your blog on WordPress, how to use a WordPress theme and the publishing platform.
  21. Create your personal brand- Learn to set up and promote your own brand.
  22. Launch your startup on social media – Explore and learn pre-launch and launch marketing for your startup or business.
  23. Learn from more than 50+ case studies – Stand on the shoulders of giants. See and implement what works for other brands through 50+ digital marketing case studies.
  24. Set up your social media profiles – Set up profiles for targeted social media channels for yourself, your personal brand and your startup!
  25. Create an SEO analysis research report – The first step in optimising a website for search engines is to create a search engine optimisation report. At Mapplinks Academy, you learn everything from reporting to optimisation.
