Lot of clients we work with have different ideas of growth hacking and they do not understand the difference between the experiments that we are doing and they say that you are doing the experiments but I need the hacks. So, what is the difference between the hacks and experiments?

So, this is another misconception. Is that you think the hacks are born, that’s why through the hacks the experiments are grown up into hacks, and it’s never that the hacks could come first. When you look at the examples of growth hacking on the internet you will find all these people talking about hacks. But those are basically experiments which was successful and hence have got the title of growth hacks. So, you always start with an experiment. Now, if I am taking on a client, and I am saying I will execute this growth hack for you, I am lying. It’s not possible. I can’t execute a growth hack for you. So, usually some people might say no, no Rishabh it’s a growth hack because it worked for someone else. It might not work for you. For you, it’s still a experiment. It’s always an experiment and there is nothing to feel bad about it because the experiments very soon become growth hacks, that’s the whole advantage of growth hacking and it’s not digital marketing where at the end of the campaign you realize it didn’t work. But with growth experiments you realize that in 2days, in 3days, in 4 days and you will change it and you will come back with new experiments and again in 3days, 4days at the same time by the end of the month you will have successful growth experiment. And that’s what you call a growth hack. Once you have a successful, it’s a beautiful work flow that you create and it works and it gets you leads and you know you can scale and you call it a successful growth experiment. Now, successful growth experiment can then be called growth hack, but it’s not necessary that it will be a scalable growth hack. It’s a growth hack which worked for you and it might work for you for a month and then die. So then you have to think of ways that you can scale it using technology, that’s why java scripts and bots and automations and all that come in.
